What this notice covers
This notice explains how Tan Kan Ming Chinese Medical Care ("the clinic") collects, uses and discloses personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
What this website collects
This website has no server and no database. It does not transmit, store or receive any information you type into it. The enquiry form on the booking page submits nowhere: pressing Send opens WhatsApp on your own device with your answers already typed into a message addressed to the clinic, and it is entirely your choice whether to send it. Once sent, that message is carried and stored by WhatsApp under its own terms, not by this website.
The only item kept in your browser is your language choice (English or 中文), stored so the site opens in the same language next time. It stays on your device, is not personal data, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
This site uses no analytics, no advertising or tracking technology, and sets no cookies.
What the clinic collects
When you contact the clinic or attend for consultation, the clinic collects the personal data needed to care for you: your name and contact details, and the health information you provide or that arises from examination and treatment.
This data is used to assess your condition, provide treatment, dispense herbal medicine, keep clinical records, and contact you about your appointments. It is not sold, and is not disclosed to anyone outside the clinic except where you consent or where the law requires it.
How long it is kept
Clinical records are kept for as long as the TCM Practitioners Board requires and for as long as is necessary for the purpose they were collected for, after which they are securely disposed of.
Your rights
You may ask what personal data the clinic holds about you and how it has been used, ask for it to be corrected, or withdraw your consent to its use. Withdrawing consent may mean the clinic can no longer treat you. Requests are answered within a reasonable time.
