About Dr. Tan Kan Ming
A second-generation pioneer of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Singapore, Dr. Tan Kan Ming brings 49 years of continuous clinical practice. He began his career serving the community as a volunteer physician at 大众医院 (a public TCM charity hospital) over many years, before founding his own clinic in the Whampoa area — including Kim Keat Road — in 2004.
Beyond caring for patients with his herbal and acupuncture expertise, Dr. Tan is a dedicated advocate for Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has generously supported the field through charitable work and has served in the Association for Promoting Chinese Medicines (中药促进会) as Honorary Secretary and in other leadership roles — helping bring TCM to the wider public and sharing his specialised knowledge with fellow practitioners across the profession.
His decades of experience span acupuncture, chronic conditions and classical herbal formulae — grounded in a lifelong commitment to the craft and to the people he serves.
